My first column!

October 7th, 2011 was the first issue of our school newspaper, and luckily for me, my column was in there! It means a lot to know that the editor liked my column and to see my words, my name, my picture in there. You're probably thinking I'm crazy to be this excited, but you would be excited too if it was your writing! This to me is like winning an award for being the best runner, except a little different. :). Anyway I  was just super excited to see my face; my name in our school paper! Let's keep this going! Send me any questions you have, I'll answer anything! (Being appropriate of course.) Want to see the amazing newspaper our editor worked her butt off to accomplish? http://www.muncie.k12.in.us/Portals/0/Central/Munsonian%20Vol%2094%20Issue%201.pdf
Alexis,  How long do you date someone before telling them you love them? -Confused Heart Dear Confused Heart, Telling someone you love them is a huge step that can sometimes make or break the relationship. Love is a feeling that is powerful and many people want, so never say it because you feel you need to or if you don’t feel it at all. Some people take weeks, months, sometimes even years to even begin to think about telling someone they love them. There isn’t a specific time in a relationship that you need to say you love them. Your heart is the clock, and will tell you when the time has come. Be patient, love isn’t meant to be rushed. Enjoy your relationship and don’t worry. I promise you that you’ll know when the time is right.

Dear Alexis,  Sometimes I feel like I don’t fit in because I don’t have designer clothes. What should I do? -Outcast Dear Outcast, Designer clothes or not, the best thing to do is be original. Every high school has cliques and different things that make them “fit in” to their own group. Every high school has the cheerleaders, football jocks, and the brainiacs; and some schools have other cliques they make up themselves. Trying to “fit in” to a group that doesn’t accept you for you, will only get you more upset. Don’t ever let anyone tell you that you don’t belong because you don’t have the brand new shoes that everyone is talking about. This is high school! This is the time where you find out where you do “fit in.” Don’t stress it, wear what you feel comfortable in and always be you. You’ll find your group.
