How do I get the girl of my dreams to like me?  Well, as with every relationship, it starts with a simple hello. Go up to her and strike a conversation. Girls like confident boys, but not too confident to the point where you’re bragging the whole conversation. If you aren't comfortable talking to her face to face, write her a little note saying hi, and that you’d like to get to know her better; in hope you two can become friends. Being friends before being boyfriend and girlfriend can build a strong backbone for your future relationship. You wouldn’t want to date a stranger, would you? You can’t force anyone to like/date you, so don’t be pushy. Give yourself time to become friends. If she doesn’t seem interested in being more than friends, it just means that she isn’t the girl for you, and that there is another beauty waiting for her prince.
One of my best friends is SUPER pretty and she always seems to have all of the guys talking to her. I tend to get jealous of how pretty she is and wonder why can't I be just pretty as her.  Do me a favor, go to a mirror and smile. Notice any wrinkles, dimples, freckles? Those are the specific things you have in those specific places that no one else has. Everyone is beautiful in their own unique way. The reason your friend seems to have all the boys talking to her is because she’s confident about herself, not because she’s “super pretty.” Boys like confident girls, not girls who hide behind their friends. If you are being yourself, boys will talk to you too. Does your friend just sit around and all the boys come up to her? No. She talks to them too. She’s pretty in ways you may not be, but you’re pretty in ways she may not be. Every single girl in this world is different. Some may look and act a little similar but no one is the exact same. Don’t wait around and say that someday...
Dear Alexis,  I really like this guy at school, but he has a girlfriend. I have tried so many times to push my feelings away and act like they were never there, but that doesn't seem to be working. What am I supposed to do? Please help me!  -Lonely lover   Dear Lonely Lover, To start off, you can’t help who you like, so that’s why pushing your feelings away aren’t helping. I understand you like him, but with him having a girlfriend, you should stop before getting in too deep. If he has a girlfriend now, it means you two aren’t suppose to be together at this very moment in time. I’m not saying never date anyone again because they have to break up soon, I’m saying that if you two are suppose to be together, now isn’t the right time. So, with that being said; branch out! Start a conversation with the cutie in your math class. Compliment the boy with the cool Bieber hair flip. I can guarantee you that there are other boys walking around your school; other fish in the ...
Dear Alexis,  What do you think the worst trait someone can have when trying to make a relationship work, and why do you think that is the worst trait? example- abusive, controlling, jealousy, or something along those lines. -Billy Well Billy, in my opinion, the examples that you gave me are all equal traits that can make the relationship become sour. Each trait has its own ways it can be hurtful. So let's review the negative effects. Jealousy is a terrible trait in making the relationship grow. Although it can ruin a relationship, it can be dealt with in a calm, understanding matter. Being controlling is also a bad trait someone can have. When you are controlling in a relationship, you don't let the other person be who they are; you make them the person you want them to be. Being abusive is a terrible trait anyone can have. Whether it’s in a marriage, relationship, or being within the family. So, have gone over all the traits you gave me, I'd say being abusive is t...
