Is it time to introduce him to my family?


Dear Alexis, I've been with my boyfriend for almost a year. I think we're pretty serious. Is it time he met my whole family?

Dear Cousin,
 Congratulations on you and your boyfriend’s long relationship! You've introduced him to your parents first, right? You should always do that before introducing him to the whole family. If everything goes well, or went well, with him meeting your parents and you as well as he feels like you’re both ready for the whole family to meet him, then go for it! If you don’t feel like you’re ready, or that he’s not ready, then that just means it’s not the right time and the right time will come. Do what you feel is right, but also run it by him to see what he thinks. Good luck!

Dear Alexis,             This girl likes my boyfriend, she's made that obvious. She knows he has a girlfriend and continues to flirt with him. He said they're just friends but it's evident she wants more out of it. He's a really nice guy and can't be mean to her. Should I speak my mind to her? My first column!

October 7th, 2011 was the first issue of our school newspaper, and luckily for me, my column was in there! It means a lot to know that the editor liked my column and to see my words, my name, my picture in there. You're probably thinking I'm crazy to be this excited, but you would be excited too if it was your writing! This to me is like winning an award for being the best runner, except a little different. :). Anyway I  was just super excited to see my face; my name in our school paper! Let's keep this going!
