Taking a boy on a first date.

I really like this boy and I want to ask him on a date. What would be a good first date for a guy?

Dear Anonymous,
          First off, I like that you want to take a boy on a date instead of him taking you out. Switching it up is always good!
          A really basic first date would be going to the movies, personally, I don’t think that is a good first date unless you don’t want to talk to him at all! A first date should be all about getting to know each other. If he is the active type, take him to a put-put course and play! If he is more artsy type, you could find an inexpensive painting class and paint with each other. If the weather is nice, you could go to the park and play around like little kids and have a nice picnic. First dates should be fun and enlightening; don’t plan too many things that have you running around everywhere. Make sure you have plenty of time to just talk to him and get to know him. Another good and inexpensive activity to do on a first date is bowling! Bowling is a fun activity to do because you can laugh with each other and you get exercise at the same time. Whatever you choose to do, just have fun and be yourself. Maybe there will be a second date in the future. Have fun!

Dear Alexis,             This girl likes my boyfriend, she's made that obvious. She knows he has a girlfriend and continues to flirt with him. He said they're just friends but it's evident she wants more out of it. He's a really nice guy and can't be mean to her. Should I speak my mind to her? My first column!

October 7th, 2011 was the first issue of our school newspaper, and luckily for me, my column was in there! It means a lot to know that the editor liked my column and to see my words, my name, my picture in there. You're probably thinking I'm crazy to be this excited, but you would be excited too if it was your writing! This to me is like winning an award for being the best runner, except a little different. :). Anyway I  was just super excited to see my face; my name in our school paper! Let's keep this going!
