What Do I Buy My Sister for Valentine's Day?


Dear Alexis,
      My sister has just been through a hard break up. I want to buy her a Valentine’s Day gift but I’m not sure what I should buy. Any ideas?

Dear Anonymous,
      Break ups are hard for anyone and you being there for your sister is very responsible and nice for you to do. I would suggest a teddy bear and maybe her favorite candy. One of the best things about siblings is that you can even buy them a gag gift and they’ll love it because you both share the same humor. Mostly, the gift you buy her will be based on the things she likes personally. Just think back to things in the past she’s mentioned or something fun she would like. It doesn't necessarily have to be Valentine’s Day related, you could buy her the new Justin Bieber singing toothbrush she’s been wanting!  Keep in mind that she is your sister and she will appreciate any gift you choose on buying for her.

Dear Alexis,             This girl likes my boyfriend, she's made that obvious. She knows he has a girlfriend and continues to flirt with him. He said they're just friends but it's evident she wants more out of it. He's a really nice guy and can't be mean to her. Should I speak my mind to her? My first column!

October 7th, 2011 was the first issue of our school newspaper, and luckily for me, my column was in there! It means a lot to know that the editor liked my column and to see my words, my name, my picture in there. You're probably thinking I'm crazy to be this excited, but you would be excited too if it was your writing! This to me is like winning an award for being the best runner, except a little different. :). Anyway I  was just super excited to see my face; my name in our school paper! Let's keep this going!
