What Do Single People Do On Valentine's Day?


Dear Alexis,
      I will be single and alone for Valentine’s Day this year. What do single people do on Valentine’s Day?

Dear Single on V-Day,
      First of all, there is nothing wrong with being single on Valentine’s Day. When you’re single, you can spend time with your family, have a relaxing night by yourself, or get with other single friends and have a little get together. A cool thing to do would to have a ‘Single on Valentine’s Day’ party and invite all your friends who aren't looking forward to spending their night alone either. Another thing you can do is to go out and buy yourself chocolates or a gift that you've been wanting and just pamper yourself. Don’t think of your night as you being single and alone, but more of a relaxing night in. The night will only be as fun as you make it!

Dear Alexis,             This girl likes my boyfriend, she's made that obvious. She knows he has a girlfriend and continues to flirt with him. He said they're just friends but it's evident she wants more out of it. He's a really nice guy and can't be mean to her. Should I speak my mind to her? My first column!

October 7th, 2011 was the first issue of our school newspaper, and luckily for me, my column was in there! It means a lot to know that the editor liked my column and to see my words, my name, my picture in there. You're probably thinking I'm crazy to be this excited, but you would be excited too if it was your writing!
