Why hasn't he called me?

Dear Anonymous,
                When you’re in the dating world you have to accept the pros and cons that go along with dating. Sometimes you’ll go out and have a fabulous date but other times your date might be a dud. The most important thing about going out on dates is that you can’t let a dud date get you down.

                When going out on a date you’re going out with someone fairly new to you and this is a time to get to know them. If your date doesn’t call you back it doesn’t necessarily mean that you did something wrong or that the date was just utterly awful, it could mean that the connection wasn’t as solid as your date, or you, were hoping for. Don’t sit around and pass up other opportunities while waiting for your date to call you. The best advice I can give you is to not stress over ONE date. Go out and connect with new people; go on more dates. Remember that there is always the possibility that you were way too cool for your date to handle! Have fun and enjoy your dating life.

Dear Alexis,             This girl likes my boyfriend, she's made that obvious. She knows he has a girlfriend and continues to flirt with him. He said they're just friends but it's evident she wants more out of it. He's a really nice guy and can't be mean to her. Should I speak my mind to her? My first column!

October 7th, 2011 was the first issue of our school newspaper, and luckily for me, my column was in there! It means a lot to know that the editor liked my column and to see my words, my name, my picture in there. You're probably thinking I'm crazy to be this excited, but you would be excited too if it was your writing! This to me is like winning an award for being the best runner, except a little different. :). Anyway I  was just super excited to see my face; my name in our school paper! Let's keep this going!
